Jenny Weekes
Groups 1, 2 & 3 (All Breeds Judge)
Cats have always been part of my life. Growing up with farm cats sparked a lifelong love that led me to purchase my first Birman in 1990 and my first breeding Birman in 1994.
Since then, my husband Greg and I have shared a wonderful journey with these beautiful cats, breeding under the prefixes Kachin and later Sunsoar.
Along the way, our Birmans have been bred, shown and loved in Canberra, Townsville, Wellington (NZ), the Gold Coast, and now in Murrumbateman.
After retiring from the RAAF in 2006, I was able to follow my passion into judging, gaining my Companion Licence with QFA in 2007, my Group 1 (Longhair) Licence in 2009, and proudly qualifying as an All Breeds Judge in 2014.
These days, Greg and I enjoy a quieter country life at Murrumbateman, surrounded by our beloved Birmans, our bees, and a small herd of alpacas.
When I’m not at a cat show, you’ll often find me in the garden, tending to the hives, travelling, or spending time with our grandchildren.
