• The below information outlines how Cats NSW allocates Cat Of The Year points.

PEDIGREED & COMPANION KITTEN/CAT OF THE YEAR ELIGIBILITY

A kitten or cat may accumulate points in the Cats NSW Inc. Members’ Kitten/Cat of the Year Awards only whilst it is in the ownership of a financial member of Cats NSW Inc.

How are the points allocated?

•Points will be counted from the date Cats NSW membership is accepted.
•Points will be awarded as per the following:

1st Place in Top 5:    5 points
2nd Place in Top 5:  4 points
3rd Place in Top 5:   3 points
4th Place in Top 5:   2 points
5th Place in Top 5:   1 point
Best In Group:         5 Points
Supreme Exhibit:    5 Points

Eligibility to earn points 

Only points gained at the following events will count, provided they are held in NSW or the ACT:

• Cats NSW Shows
• The Sydney Royal Easter Show 
• The ACF National Cat Show 

The following awards shall also be presented:

•Top 5 Kittens in Group 1, 2, 3 & 4
•Top 5 Entire Cats in Group 1, 2, & 3
•Top 5 Desexed Cats in Group 1, 2, 3 & 4

Highest Point Scoring Exhibit Group 1
The Group 1 exhibit that scores the highest number of points in the kitten, entire cat or desexed cat section.

Highest Point Scoring Exhibit Group 2
The Group 2 exhibit that scores the highest number of points in the kitten, entire cat or desexed cat section.

Highest Point Scoring Exhibit Group 3
The Group 3 exhibit that scores the highest number of points in the kitten, entire cat or desexed cat section.

Exhibit of the Year
Awarded to the exhibit who achieves the highest number of points throughout the year, as an aggregate of points won in all sections. This includes kittens who move into the entire or desexed cat section during the year and entire cats who move into the desexed cat section during the year.
